Challenges

Our client, a leading U.S. retailer with 150+ brick-and-mortar locations, faced a critical inflection point during the pandemic. Consumers pivoted to digital-first shopping, yet the client’s legacy platform was rigid, costly, and unable to support the shift to a customer-first mindset. Their monolithic PHP-based architecture slowed feature launches, created escalating maintenance costs, and introduced security risks. Core initiatives like credit financing were difficult to implement. Manual processes, technical debt, and lack of agility made it impossible to keep pace with consumer expectations or omnichannel competitors. A scalable, secure, and future-ready platform that empowered innovation while reducing complexity was needed.
